The College of International Affairs develops research and professional talent to serve Taiwan’s international status. To reach these goals, initiative plans began in 1993 with intensive discussions and framework-building to meet the required terms for establishing a college. Permission was granted by the Ministry of Education in 2000, and the following year saw the official operation of the College with Dr. Deng-ker Lee, professor of the Department of Diplomacy, as the first Dean. The Second Dean is In-ming Lee, professor of the Graduate Institute of East Asian Studies. The current Dean is Chyou, Ren-Rang, professor of the Department of Diplomacy.
